FWIW, I closed the upstream bug because my laptop's monitor quality has

Virtualbox4.1.8 is important for testing of Ubuntu12.04. There are
patches in that enable kernel3.2.x running stable in virtualbox. The

I am using git with its gui applications gitk and gitgui which are based on the
simple windowing shell named wish. Also I enabled Visual Effects in the
Appearance Preferences (gnome-appearance-properties) of Ubuntu. I set the mode
to Extra.
I have just tested this issue and made a recording. It's very
interesting. I started a stopwatch and just made small circular mouse
movements. I noted that almost every 10 seconds (around the 8 second
mark) the mouse will get stuck, as I described, but the stopwatch clock

packages page; works nicely (mouse a bit random in spicey, but not sure
where that's from).
The server seems stable and lets me do things like play youtube and BBC

the command 'sudo amdcccle'. I ran 'sudo gdb amdcccle', followed by
the run command to run the executable, duplicated the error, and got a
backtrace with 'bt'. I'm not sure how helpful this is because there are
