Its not the sticky edges it's the disconnected monitor, the mouse is
stuck in the disconnected monitor. It's possible to change the nvidia
configuration to not do this but i have no idea how. I think the nvidia

More strangeness with X yesterday. When I booted up, X didn't recognize
my keyboard (neither the external keyboard nor the built-in). I tried
rebooting and restarting X (with Alt-PrtScn-K) several times to no
avail. In the end I decided to reboot into command-line mode and update

Stephane, after enabling the proposed updates, you should do:
sudo apt-get install linux-generic/precise-proposed
I've upgraded my kernel to 3.4.5 (quantal) from the mainline and haven't had a
crash since with the 302.17 nvidia driver.
Also mentioned earlier downgrading to 290.10 fixes it as well.
Here you find the deb packages for 290.10:
Is there anything new here? Or any hint where I could search to fix this
on my own?

I can't believe this, the people that used 10.04 and has upgraded to

solved until Beta-state of Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal.

Ah, this has been reported as bug 1024768; the reporter there just
didn't state that they were using xorg-edgers. I still don't know
whether we need open Launchpad bugs for xorg-edgers issues, but I'll
just confirming, that my description above indeed relates to Precise
Pangolin.
