More testings here: From the fd.o bug it looks like the crash is in xserver-xorg-input-synaptics. I tried to boot with the parameter psmouse.proto=bare so that the touchpad is recognized as a generic PS/2 mouse. And I performed 30 cycles of suspends/resumes. There is no crash observed.
