Okay, I just had a crash with Linux 3.7 kernel.
Whether it is Linux 3.2 or 3.7 kernel, it seems like page fault is one of the
cause of the crash after ACPI S3 State resume.
However, Ubuntu is a lot more stable with Linux 3.7 kernel, but when it

I had this bug on 12.04 and now have it on 12.10.
64-bit Thinkpad X220, Core i7 (2nd gen) and Intel 320 SSD, with external
monitor.

It did happen when i was reinstalling my ati graphic card drivers. After
crash i wasn't able to get my GUI working so i did remove
/usr/share/ati, then i did reinstall the drivers. I was able to get to
gui back, but Ubuntu shows me message about bug, which i submit now

I'd like to add that I have this Hard Lock on both my desktops, mounting a
Celeron (sandy bridge) dual core and the other is mounting a i-5 quad core
Sandy bridge.
Both system mount a Nvidia vga (gt430 and gt480).
I got those hard locks with Mint 14 and Xubuntu 12.10.
On Xubuntu machine I tried

Same problem here: black screen freeze after boot right before the login
screen. Ctrl-Alt-F1... do not work. I am on 12.10 64-bit with Nvidia
proprietary drivers, all recent updates installed. The problem started
