Title:
After installing Ubuntu 12.04 my laptop touchpad randomly
Probably but I'm not sure 'caus without xorg.conf keyboard map is wrong
too. Currently I workarounded it with a 'display-setup-script=setxkbmap
fr' in the lightdm.conf file.

Booting 12.04 in virtualbox seems to reproduce this issue, can you
confirm ?. On some areas - hovering icons in System Prefs for example-

Just got a complete lock-up on kernel 3.7.4, I could not even ping the
machine anymore. Syslog shows this as the last entry before I shut down

If I boot into the quantal kernel, I do not see this issue. So thats what I'm
doing as a work around for now.
Each time I forget, and reboot into raring, I hang usually within 15 minutes of
usage.
It seems that this is likely triggered by desktop switching but thats
not really scientific, just

This is also affecting me. After updating the nVidia driver, the
corrupted icons are now blank white instead of white with colored dots.

Today I had again another total freeze.
I noticed something which possibly might be helpful. I use a laptop and when my
laptop freezes today , I plugged off the power supply. The laptop switched off
immediately!, as if I had no battery. This was strange because the battery was
full charged in
