This morning I've received the kde 4.10 update and newer debs for git
version of the intel driver (13/02/07 - git 974b6a).
I cannot decouple if the rendering issues have worsened with the newer
driver (probably not) or if the newer kde framework and kwin is exposing

I compiled the driver with --with-default-accel=sna and set
both, the rotated and non-rotated screens, to AccelMethod blt.
Now, the rotated screen is _all black_ but the cursor.
So I, somehow, managed to start acroread but do not see anything but the cursor.
Ah, sorry I mislead. I forgot everybody doesn't use SNA as their default
accelmethod. In order to use the BLT trick, you need to --disable-uxa or
--with-default-accel=sna.

Font corruption in Chromium tab bar
I can't test it, obviously.
The rotated zaphod screen, at which the artefacts appear in my case, is only
available with sna enabled.

I tried it nevertheless as I forgot about that.

I read in several places (like here:

that should preserve shortcut positions when changeing the keyboard
layout. It seems that pressing certain keys switches the selected layout
back to the primary one.

The source of this error was a driver leak in the UXA glyph code (at
least according to my notes). iirc, somewhen around 2.20.4 had the fix.
The DDX will compile against your version of Xorg, and I would strongly
recommend you take all the bug fixes in there rather than cherry-
picking. Or else
It seems that the fglrx 12.3-beta3 driver solves this issus without any
patch needed for the intel driver.

with Intel Ivybridge (8086:0106) / AMD Radeon HD 7500M/7600m Series (1002:6841).
