This bug happens for me on all flavours of linux inc
mint,fedora,opensuse,arch
I always run 64 bit flavours but if you are running 32 bit and getting
the same bug then i assume it affects both 32 and 64 bit.
I have an nvidia g210 card and it happens on both nouveau and
proprietary
Public bug reported:
since 12.10 i'we experienced alot of gfx problems
My computer is the ASUS ul30vt (64bit) with 2 gfx cards. one nvidia g210m and
one onboard intel.
- gfx is being run by onboard intel graphic card, cannot turn on/install nvidia
driver for g210m
- when able to update headers
Marking Invalid as a bug because you should not attempt to install the
nvidia driver directly on a hybrid/Optimus system. Purge any nvidia
driver you've tried to install and follow the directions here:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bumblebee
If you still have questions, please use
Thanks for your reply Dave Lents
Before ubuntu 12.10 i had Bumblebee installed, with glxgear(low fps) /
'optirun glxgear' (highfps) working.
However i wish to only run my nvidia graphic card, and completly disable the
onboard intel gfx, for improved performance and since my laptop battery
Here is my most recent Bootchart, hopefully it can help a bit with the
debugging

You cannot completely disable the intel card due to the nature of
Optimus design. I'm not really sure what hardware check you're referring

Still not an SNA bug :-p
When you specify UXA manually through the xorg.conf snippet that
overrides the GPU autoconfiguration, and disables activation of the
nvidia GPU and sharing with nouveau through PRIME. When you leave it at
its defaults, then it explodes inside nouveau.
Also it appears
If you were to change UXA to SNA in your xorg.conf snippet, it should
also work. Can you please test that?
