This bug happens for me on all flavours of linux inc
mint,fedora,opensuse,arch

I always run 64 bit flavours but if you are running 32 bit and getting
the same bug then i assume it affects both 32 and 64 bit.

I have an nvidia g210 card and it happens on both nouveau and
proprietary drivers.

I have never tried running 3.0 or lower kernel because i like to have
the latest kernel features and i have to manually compiile my ethernet
drivers with a kernel that low.

It's not an ubuntu specific bug but it would be great for someone from
ubuntu to try to diagnose the problem as this seems to be a long
standing bug which affects a lot of users and prevents me from returning
to linux with my current hardware.

I would say it would have to be either a kernel regression bug or some
sort of bug with xorg.
