No screen after upgrade to Trusty

I am on Debian Wheezy (kernel 3.10-3), and have the same problem with my
Logitech Unifying
Receiver and a gb keyboard: it remains in us layout after setting the gb layout
in
/etc/default/keyboard. I found several bug reports for this problem, but no
fix.
As a workaround, I add this in
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

I have the same problem. My laptop has a resolution of 1366x768.
The shortcuts overlay only appears when workspaces are disabled.
But, when using an external monitor with a higher resolution (height), the
Bruno Nova, thank you for your comment. So your hardware and problem may be
tracked, could you please file a new report by executing the following in a
terminal:
ubuntu-bug xorg
