It would be more useful to get some logs with the device already
connected, but I'm seeing in the logs:

same VGA controller, please try module parameter
video.allow_duplicates=1if the current driver doesn't work.
Maybe try
@Hugo, all the affected units happened to be called back by ODM at this
moment and we will try to collect the logs as requested once we have

This also affects me on Mythbuntu 14.04 x86 64bit with the open radeon driver
and ATI RS880 [Radeon HD 4250] graphics controller.
The workaround for me was to disable xfsettingsd in the GUI Settings under
Session and Startup:
1) In the Application Autostart tab I unticked xfsettingsd.
2) In the

While using my machine, characters suddenly disappear. No character in
particular, not in any single application in particular, and copying and
pasting the text preserves the characters.
Scrolling the text out of view and back into view doesn't affect the
missing characters.
I'm on 13.04 on a Nexus7 too and I really would love to find a way to apply
these patches, even manually.
Is someone willing to point me to the right direction?

sometimes I face Xorg segfault on wake up from suspend/hibernation. I use this:

I also use radeon propertiary driver fglrx ( version 13.35.5). I may be wrong
but I suspect that thos bug occurs
I recently upgraded to 12.04.4 on my Dell E6500 (on which I had
10.04.4 running quite smoothly for years) and this bug has bitten me and
so far none of the resolutions I've found tried via various forums has
worked to resolve it. I am quite sad. :(
