Interesting that noone reacted on the bug. I was able to circumenvent the problem with the proprietary nvidia drivers. Actually I wanted to avoid this on a new installation, but I'm unable to work if the system freezes randomly if I enter a webpage with a video or launch a video podcast :-( --
