Thanks a lot for your reply. Now I have to find out what "render offload
target" means. I have tried "DRI_PRIME=1 glxgears" which I think is a good test
for card performance and it reports 1700 FPS instead of the 60 FPS reported
without the DRI_PRIME=1 so I assume that the dedicated card is

@frautukka, I'm not experienced in this...
Propositions:
(a) Report upstream? (I reported upstream to KDE, but they say it's not their
issue; IMHO, they're right. We should report upstream to nvidia.)
(b)
I experienced the same issue. The instructions in comment #11 helped to
resolve it for now. Not quite sure what to do for the future of this
package?

I am using the newly released 4.9, but the same "feature"was present in
the previous rcX versions:

@p-staffan Are you also using the 4.9.x kernel (i.e. the one with the
patch so that the touchpad is recognized)?

yes, I can reproduce it like this:
- open a text doc
- select some text in it
- tap in the top right corner of the touchpad
then the selected text gets pasted for every tap

@pmonas triggered by your comment, I made some further investigation and it
seems that the middle-click is alway triggered when I click with a single

@pmonas yes, I think the singe tap is sometime interpreted as a middle-click. I
can guarantee that I click with a single finger, though ...
Is someone else using the 4.9 kernel on the e7370 observing this ?

@bagl0312: both of those are what you'd expect from a "middle-click".
This seems somehow like a different bug (or perhaps you're inadvertently
tapping with two or three fingers and your system is set up to interpret
that as a middle-click)

Hi,
I am using since a few weeks the kernel 4.9 with my dell e7370 abd the touchpad
is recognized.
I have however an annoying problem which happens quite often.
With the "tap to click" option enabled, when I tap the touchpad sometime
the behavior is quite unreliable.
For example:

What is the appropriate way to do this with Ubuntu Gnome, that means
gdm3 instead of lightdm? I cannot find the corresponding config file.

I was afflicted by a version of this problem after updating 12.04 LTS
Precise via the Update Manager on 20/11/2016. The principal problem is
that the icons on the desktop launchpad became invisible, though
hovering over where I suspected that they were with the mouse did result
in a small text
I have the same problem. If I force indirect rendering like below, it
works, but it's not a good solution.
1. Create /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf.d/50-xserver-command.conf :
[SeatDefaults]
# Dump core
xserver-command=X -core +iglx
2. Restart LightDM
# systemctl restart lightdm

In my GL using app I had to add the bind mount /var/lib/snapd/lib/gl to
LD_LIBRARY_PATH for it to work with the nVidia proprietary driver.
I proposed that workaround to snapcraft-desktop-helpers:
