I checked my setup and I am set to Discrete Graphics in BIOS, not Hybrid.
So the Intel firmware should not really matter, it should be all nvidia. I
am using the x-org open-source driver for the nvidia card, not the
proprietary nvidia one.

Public bug reported:
The kernel can not update itself in ubuntu 16.04, please send commands
so that you can use inside the terminal and finish it, since already
thank you.
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04
Package: xorg 1:7.7+13ubuntu3
ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.4.0-78.99-generic
Upgrading to a non-LTS version has it's downsides, and I have read
reports of people that experience the same problems after upgrading up
to 17.04.
I now installed an Intel version of the 21.20.16.4590 driver for Windows
10 from the Lenovo website, but it's actually not meant for the P50
laptop
Im facing this issue in ubuntu 14.04.Please resolve it.
