I haven't encountered this issue at all since moving away from modesetting and back to the intel DDX driver. So whatever extra exercises GLAMOR was doing may be triggering the bug. I'm sure that doesn't help actually fix it but it might at least help people experiencing it to have a more stable

I have the same problem 18.04.2 LTS, 4.15.0-46-generic #49 With something perhaps useful : I have grub for multi-boot, and only this one ubuntu OS installed -When the computer was on, with ubuntu or another system, a system restart leads me to grub, that leads me to ubuntu, and it is stuck.
