#1: laptop, 3840x2400 native, scaled at 225%
#2: external monitor 1, 3840x2160 native, scaled at 150% (main display)

Accepted intel-media-driver-non-free into jammy-proposed. The package
will build now and be available at

reinstall nvidia-driver-390 nvidia-dkms-390 didn't make a difference for me
Fallback to intel works on local laptop, but prevents me using 2x 4K
external screens.

Oh the Xorg logs show:

so this is bug 1543192 but triggered by some unusual issue with Nvidia
driver 390:

That error message sounds like a problem with the Nvidia driver, but
your primary GPU seems to be Intel so I don't know why it would fail to
"load GUI".
