Same issue as reported in comment #244. The fix release for elementary
OS only applies to version 0.4 Loki. Those of us running 0.3 Freya with
the Trusty LTS Enablement Stack have not received an updated xserver-
xorg-video-intel-lts-xenial:

I'm seeing something similar to xian98. I have i2c_hid black listed as
described, but mostly use a mouse. After multiple suspend / wake cycles
the mouse stops working and I have to reboot.

As per David Edwards (purple52), 290.10 stops the xorg crash. I've been
stable for over day now. Chrome seem to increase the crash frequency,
but it's all good now.
Nice start to my migration from 7 to Ubuntu. Can finally get on with it

I'm running into the same issue on Natty. This is on a MacBook 2,1 with
an external monitor. Intel 945GM chipset. It appears to be related to
the framebuffer size. The laptop panel works fine alone, as does an
external monitor at 1920x1080 alone.

Actually, after playing around with scrolling, it looks like it does
degrade pretty noticeably after a sleep/wake cycle. It's a lot worse on

Dirk, that's the one thing currently does (and probably always will)
need SHMConfig. There's no other way to poke deep into the driver's

A problem that we've seen with some hardware is that the touchpad device
disappears and reappears across suspend-to-RAM. X then sees a new device
appear, and the old one disappear, so the settings vanish too.
