Thanks Seth, it works now. :-) I just had to install the new version in all my Ubuntu systems (Natty and Oneiric) and rebooting now works fine under all circumstances (at least those I have tested). Now, I'm curious about the backgrounds: How can I find out if I'm using v3 or v4? Do the touchpads
