I'm seeing a similar issue after upgrading from mythbuntu 12.04 to
14.04. Only I'm using integrated graphics from intel sandybridge.

I have a similar problem with the d-link boxee remote when I try to use
Boxee full screen. Whenever I press a button on the remote, X segfaults
and dies.
This is in Ubuntu 10.10 (32 bit). I get a backtrace very similar to the
one reported in the first post. Did anyone find a solution to this?
For further info, it also occurs on XBMC when full screen. Here is the
backtrace I get from my xorg log
Backtrace:

I am pretty sure this bug (or something related) has been reborn in
recent days. I have a up to date Karmic computer and after installing
the 185 driver in hardware drivers the system boots to a black screen.
I.e. X doesn't start. This both with a 8400 card and 9400 card.

I have nvidia 9400 and 8400
I have the exact same problem on two machines I tried to load Karmic on

utility, I reboot into a blank screen. XOrg.0.log says:

Also, I am still on kernel 2.6.31-11 so I don't think it is a -13 issue.
Something else must have broken the nvidia driver.

the ko should be built by jockey or at boot by dkms, but I guess it is
failing. I have filed a bug in jockey about the failure here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/jockey/+bug/450770 - but it may be a more
general compilation problem and jockey is just a victim. The jockey.log
