whatever the nvidia version drivers I installed from the Ubuntu official depot,
my Nvidia Geforce GT 330M dos not use Nvidia drivers but Nouveau.

screen suddenly freeze, I can no more access to another virtual console
TTY, all I can do is connect in ssh. In a ssh console, I can see Xorg
consumes 100% cpu but it's impossible to kill it with root user, even
with -9 option. All I can do is to reboot my computer

I manually installed the 295.20 drivers from nvidia official site, the
same bug: fan always at 100% at xorg start and I can not control it.
James, do you still need the result of this command: apport-collect
946178. To give you that debug information I have to reinstalled the
ubuntu package, so do
I finally installed manually 275.43 nvidia driver and fan control works
again. If you would like to try this soluce, don't forget to desactivate
all the nvidia driver in jockey-gtk and uninstall all nvidia packages:
$apt-get remove --purge nvidia*

I found on a forum this solution:
in the /home/your_home_folder/.icons, rename the cursor folder name default,
then open his index.theme and replace Inherits=core by
Inherits=your_cursor_theme_name
It works!
But why I have to do that?
Finally are you sure it's a nvidia bug?

another thiçng: the bug only appearing when compiz is on. If compiz is
disabled, my cursor have the correct cursor theme.

I have the same problem on another computer with intel video graphic card.
When I'm using a cursor theme, the personnalized cursor does not appear on the
gnome-panel, desktop area, awn, windows icon and bar. But appears on icon on
the desktop, inside windows (not metacity).
