My laptop has a 4K display.
Default Resolution = 3840x2160, scale = 200%.
If I set resolution to 1920x1080, everything on the desktop is scaled to double
size.
So, if I reduce the Scale setting from 200% to 100%, I would expect everything
to look normal again, but it does

I'm seeing the same error when trying to open a contact in the Evolution
groupware suite. The full error is:
openjdk version "1.8.0_91"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_91-8u91-b14-3ubuntu1~16.04.1-b14)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.91-b14, mixed mode)
VMware: vmw_ioctl_command error
issues, but a code monkey I am not. Please help.

Okay, even in the reduced display mode, I am getting freezing issues :-/
I was running chrome all on its lonesome for almost an hour. I opened up
a document in libreoffice and whammo -- frozen again.

This is on an HP probook 4720s with the ATI graphics card installed.
I am using the Xorg drivers not the proprietary ATI ones.
I have an external 24 monitor connected via HDMI.
The problem is that both screens with freeze, one will tend to go black

I believe this bug may now be fixed.
This error does not occur on Lucid with NVidia 9600GT GPU.
Unfortunately I no longer have the ATI Radeon Mobility X600 on which I
originally spotted the bug.
