James: I, too, found it very annoying to contend with. However, I think the reasoning is that the original bug only affects a small slice of Ubuntu users. If the fix isn't behaving properly, there's a risk that it will break things for other users. That said, I hope it gets sorted soon. --

@Patrick (comment 98): That's the original problem. The (0,0) jump is what some of us have been seeing after installing Chris' updated package (linked in comment 56), which seems to fix the original problem for a lot of us, including my own case, which is with the same model of keyboard as yours.

Here's the output of xev when I triggered it (XF86AudioPlay, line 133). It shows a press event on the right mouse button (button 3), but no corresponding release event, so the computer presumably assumes I'm holding down the right mouse button. (Just to clarify, this is just from the keyboard
