[9800GT] Problem after the installation Nvidia driver

When I run xrandr -r 60.0 -s 1680x1050 I get Rate 60.0 Hz not
available for this size
I tried the settings in the xorg.conf and it doesn't work either.
I don't have a ~/.config/monitors.xml file
Something worth mentioning is that I am using the VGA Out of the card,
not the digital output.

the nvidia driver itself.

I did a full re-install today as soon as I installed the nvidia drivers
through Jockey the fonts became blurry again at next reboot

Fonts are blurry after the
Hi Bryce,
I changed the setting from Auto to 60Hz in Nvidia-settings but even if I
save the config to xorg.conf when I restart the fonts become blurry
again.
I have also tried to remove my xorg.conf completely and regenerate one
from Nvidia-settings but it doesn't help.
I ran Nvidia-settings as
It looks like the settings don't stick, I have to go to the nvidia-
settings everytime I login, change the frequency from Auto to 60hz and
then Apply. Even if I run the tool as root and save the settings after I
reboot I have the same issue.

I have fixed the problem, for some reason when I installed the drivers
it created a graphical mode for my monitor in 1680x1050 at 60Hz that did
not work.
Using nvidia-settings as root I switched the mode frequency to Auto and
applied and it fixed the problem straight away. I saved the setting in
Public bug reported:
I installed Ubuntu 12.04 from daily image (29/02/2012), everything
worked fine then I received the pop-up to install Restricted drivers
which I did and after rebooting I noticed that all the fonts were blured
like if the resolution was set incorrectly.
I ran nvidia-settings
