After updating Kubuntu 15.10 to Ubuntu 16.10, the USB wireless mouse stops
functioning after some minutes. The time involved varies from 5-10 minutes to
hours. After rebooting the PC the mouse works again. Sometimes it helps if the
USB dongle is moved to another USB connect

I experience the same problem using Firefox 3.0.14 + Shiretoko FF 3.5.3
on (k)ubuntu 9.04: some sites using SSL cannot be used.
e.g. I cannot download the jdk docs from cds.sun.com site
