same thing happens here, on a dell vostro a90 (which is a rebranded mini9, essentially). running stock ubuntu 9.10, intel gma950 video card. when connecting a vga external monitor and opening the display applet (enable the monitor), total system freeze. if before enabling the monitor, i run
