Hi Rainer, So the issue is that the x driver in 12.10 was updated, but the nvidia driver does not support it yet. Until it's resolved, I suggest trying the opensource version, nouveau. First make sure the driver is installed: dpkg -l | grep nouveau If nothing returns, run 'sudo apt-get
