It is a request for keyboard layout autodetection on startup. But now that you mention it, layout switching at runtime is needed too. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to weston in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1106145

How to set libxkbcommon keyboard layout under Weston? There is no way to switch the keyboard layout during a session yet, but you can set it in weston.ini before starting a session. See the weston.ini man page, KEYBOARD SECTION. man weston.ini from weston.ini: [keyboard] keymap_layout=

Shouldn't it respect $LC_ALL or something? Or use the keyboard language setting as console? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to weston in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1106145 Title: Weston does not respect keyboard

I'm not sure it make sense for this to be an ubuntu bug yet. I'm guessing you're talking about communicating the keyboard layout from gnome-control-center to weston. I think it would make more sense to first discuss on the wayland list how that should even happen. I believe the only way to set

Keyboard on Weston works great when running under X, so I don't have any input on gnome-control-center communication. The thing that don't work is the keyboard layout when running Weston on DRM/console. Keyboard works perfect in console, it just doesn't work in Weston on console. Maybe it

If there's a relevant environment variable, it seems like it should be pretty easy and reasonable to get weston to use it for the keymap, but I still think this is a conversation that would be more appropriate on the wayland mailing list. -- You received this bug notification because you are a
