Some updates : Looks like the volume and other shortcut keys in Ubuntu are handled by some core unity session or process which also handles keys like ctrl + alt + l ( lock screen ) other keys too. I also have a rather recent Lenovo X1 (Touch) Type 3448-1Q6, and just upgraded from 13.04 to 13.10. For me the three buttons (mute, Volume up and Volume down) are working fine after the upgrade. So it may be a problem related only to a certain type of X1 HW. -- You received this bug notification
