Thanks for the bug report.
The reason you have no resolution options is because the system has
booted in recovery/safe mode which disables the graphics driver. You can
tell this by the "recovery nomodeset" kernel parameters. Sometimes
Ubuntu gets stuck in recovery mode if it was used during instal

The resolutions supported by your monitor can be displayed with the
shell command edid-decode, e.g.
edid-decode /sys/class/drm/card0-eDP-1/edid
