Hello!
I tested with karmic alpha-5 (Ubuntu Netbook Remix Live) and the problem
seems to be solved. The resolution is correctly detected to 1366x768
with the live session, so I assumed that it's ok.
I will give a try with the desktop live iso tonight...

Unfortunately due to the scope of the changes it really is impractical
to install all the required bits by hand. Testing karmic is really the
best way to do it and make sure you have the right kernel, xserver,
mesa, etc. etc. If you can sort out the installation problems and re-

I have tried to install karmic on the wind top ae1900 bet the
installation failed. So I was not able to check if the new intel driver
is working properly... Is there a another to test this driver?

A new major version of the -intel driver is now available in Karmic.
This version includes a major reworking of the acceleration
architecture, which resolves a huge number of issues. We do not know
whether it resolves the issue you reported.

I have the same issue with my MSI Wind Touch AE1900... The touch screen
does not work either... Here is some additional informations...
