during upgrade from 9.10 beta to 9.10 185-src package gave an error (grrr! ),
retried in rescue mode, failed (nhhh!!!),
this morning retried to finishe in rescue mode, suceeded (Owww yeah :D ),
i think / hope that it was due to the old kernel, nvidia driver and glx are
working now, but after
apparently the script runs a compiler check; I don't know why it fails, can't
reproduce it, but I assume that it tries to compile something which fails. I
mean this testcase

The C compiler 'cc' does not appear to be able to
create executables. Please make sure you have
your Linux distribution's gcc and
the package installs fine for me
