The eviocgname message is innocuous - see bug #517316 Unfortunately apport-collect did not attach the files needed for investigating this issue. Please reproduce the issue by removing the Load evdev section from your xorg.conf, and then file a new bug via the command ubuntu-bug xorg and we can

Please execute the following command in a terminal after reproducing the issue, and it it will automatically gather debugging information needed for this bug: apport-collect 512714 evdev is supposed to load automatically now - no need to specify it in xorg.conf, so I'm really curious why that
