Hello, I have to confirm - i am experiencing these problems .
The real disaster is 3d turned on + nvidia_default or manufacturer nvidia
driver - the crashes of the whole laptop are very frequent. Approx 5 minutes
without crash. With 3D and HDMI I have only green and red mangled stripes.

Additional info: video artifacts only appear when display is connected to
graphics card over VGA. When the same display is connected over DVI, no
artifacts are seen.
When booted into Mac OS X 10.5.8 on the same machine, video is clean over
both connection types.

Ran the requested command and authenticated with LaunchPad. The
terminal output is a little vague... not sure what (if anything) was
collected.

Also, I have to correct my earlier comment. On 9.10 the screen
previously did not display these artifacts. However, booting back and
forth between systems, the artifacts appear in both 9.10 and 10.04.
Booting into any Mac OS X version on this machine displays normal video.
