michael, you are right. Jockey is not showing the drivers as being in use, my fix doesn't try to do that. I just pointed to a workaround to be able to use nvidia drivers in systems that were not being able to load the driver at all, where jockey was failing 100% to enable the driver. A few hours

I updated today my nvidia-current driver to version 270.41.19, but I still have the same problem. The driver is activated but not in use. I also see that there are some problems with my mouse pointer (in windows it works OK). Some time the mouse pointer doesn't recognise some links in webpages
