This issue is still present even now. When installing 12.04 again on my
main pc, and rearranging the desktops after fulling updating my
computer, my system instantly froze again. Also, after my initial boot
up my computer would randomly flash black and then freeze shortly after
the picture reappear
Are there any work-arounds (from the command line or configuration
files) that someone could share?

I tried the latest 3.3.0 rc6 kernel that you linked and the same problem
was there. There was little to no difference betwen the two kernels when
it came to this crash. The easiest way to cause this crash is to
rearrange the monitors in the display options and press apply. That will
instantly crash
Right on. I will test out the kernel and report back. Is there a way to
revert back to the stock on once we test it out?

The idea is to try the mainline kernel to see if the bug is fixed there.
If it is, then yay! We can try and find out precisely what the fix was,
and apply it to the Precise kernel.
If it's not fixed in the mainline kernel, then we need to (a) tell
upstream that it's broken, and (b) help fix & tes
