Title: RE: [UC] Indian Food Recommendation
Dear Neighbors,
There is one restaurant I would like to add to this list, but it is also not in University City. That is Shivnanda at 114 Chestnut Street around the corner from Café Spice. Whenever I have walked past Café Spice, it is very noisy

Excellent though they often have the same old thing, which can either be good or
bad depending upon what you're looking for. Ice cream/coffee is included although
other beverages are not. ND has a liquor license which is a notable

I've been known to frequent New Delhi (on Walnut, next to Pattaya Grill).
I must say that I've never even tried the nearby restaurants; why mess
with a good thing? (same reason that I haven't been to the Paris Cafe 41,
since the Green Line opened first!)

I have eaten at all of the Indian Restaurants in UCity and am very partial to New Delhi on Chestnut. I avoid Sitar on 38th. I don't think they put any care into the food and I've found their small selection to be over cooked, greasy and, believe
to be the most crowded when I go there - but I
think it may be because they have regular discount coupons in the DP, Philadelphia
Weekly and City Paper.
