xchat-systray's default
works fine here on my i386 computer. When I click on check for updates,
it starts firefox and brings me to systray web site.
Do you have a correctly defined browser in the systray settings
window?

I used to have this problem in Breezy, but I cannot reproduce this
anymore in Dapper. So I suspect it has been solved with the newer
version. I'll mark this as fixed. If you are still experiencing this
problem, please feel free to reopen this bug report. Thanks.

Public bug reported:
From the menu:
Settings - Advanced - URL Handlers
Currently it suggests:
Name:
Open Link in Opera
Command:
!opera -remote 'openURL(%s)'
Perhaps it should be pointing to:
Name:
Open in default browser
Command:
!gnome-www-browser %s
This opens a working fire fox.

Can you try to reach that page using firefox manually? That web page

The newest plugin is indeed in Dapper. But it is my understanding that
the older plugin is the only ones available for Hoary/Breezy; thus these
2 Ubuntu versions are in theory still vulnerable to CVE 2005-2628 and
2006-0024 since they are only at version 7.0.25 instead of the latest
7.0.63.

It's fixed under Dapper. SDL across the board on Dapper on PowerPC seems
quite sluggish though. But I'll take sluggish over wiping out my X session
any day. The sooner all graphics are accelerated visuals, the better.

i sent an email to upstream about it, they won't be fixing it for the

When a user is expected to provide keyboard input, it is not typical
that only one case will be acceptable. This bug exposes an inconsistency
to the user interface that results in poor usability.
I am not advocating case insensitivity or otherwise. I'll leave those
technical details to the
