Well, I've found the solution for my PC. After shooting in the dark for
I while, I've found out that halt scripts symlink wasn't in any rc*.d.
I've used BUM (boot-up manager) to set them to be run on start up, or

I had this issue after installing the openvpn plugin for network
manager, but in my case, all I had to do was restart the machine and
everything was working properly. It hasn't misbehaved since. Did that
work

Well, I think this is going to be useful. The crash happened a lot with
the svn version. Seems to be something related to phonon. Those are some
relevant parts of the logs:

Yes, this error is reproducible with any image > 4GB in size. Have
reproduced here and am working on a fix.
