First it said;
If your graphics card need it, please check all the required kernel modules are
loaded (i2c-dev, and your framebuffer driver).
Then I did 'sudo modprobe i2c-dev', and ran the command sudo ddccontrol

Today, kernel 2.6.31 break everything : My external monitor is no longer
recognized.
I follow Karmic evolution and I will watch if things get back into shape.

I restored a backup of my banshee.db and managed to open banshee at
least once. Then it started to crash again.
Also tried to delete banshee.db. Banshee opened fine. But after
reimporting the whole library it started to crash again
I downloaded the comedi kernel sources and went through their install
process. It did not complain about the libtool version 2.2?? and the
resulting module loads, configures and comedi_test runs to completion
without error for the pcmcia card I am using.
I have not, however, been able to get
originally.

I also see the same problem with my gvim windows, as well as gnome-
terminal and plain old xterm. There is a 2-second delay before any
window resize operation, and the resize animation moves in 2-second
jumps. Getting the window to the desired size is extremely difficult.

I am now running 9.04 and I do not seem to experience this bug anymore.

GDM always shows up on the external screen (and unfortunately on the laptop
panel even if it is closed, but that's another story !).

Both monitor are still in clone mode, but now it works as expected since the

menu option available. That option does appear in the standard Ubuntu
download but when I try to set up online banking, I get a message that

Money until installation of a fully functional KMyMoney is more
straightforward.
