Thanks for the merge. Things look good but the browser plugins aren't
working. The plugins show up in firefox, but when I open a test file
nothing happens and sometimes the browser freezes. It would be good to
get that fixed before uploading.

The upstream developers are asking for a Feature Freeze exception for a

I created startsqueak as a GUI wrapper script so that squeak can be used
from the menu. inisqueak was never installed in the packages we used. I
talked with squeak developers and they liked my startsqueak script so I
included that. I'm not sure why inisqueak is necessary here but I can

The problem is that the cernlib package split out these deps into
seperate packages with cernlib 2005.dfsg-1 . For instance geant is now
built by the geant321 source package in Debain instead of cernlib. I
believe it's the same situation for the other deps. We need to get the
new source packages

/user/bin/squeak is the normal binary so that command line usage could

This bug isn't quite trivial. The doc path is hard coded. Take a look at
http://bugs.debian.org/355207 . I think at this point I'd probably be in favor
of patching the source to change the hard coded path to the installed path.
Debian should have this fixed for Dapper+1

There is a new Debian maintainer for Scilab. I contacted him and asked
about Scilab 4.0 . He said that he is working on it and it should be
packaged soon. Hopefully these bugs will go away with
