I've uploaded a package for lucid to opensc ppa. This package is based on
lp:ubuntu/opensc .
The only thing I've changed was the copyright since it was outdated. Please
have a look at
the package.
Next I will test the proposed package for karmic for regressions (like
described earlier).
Btw:
My test results:
- installed fresh Jaunty
- initialized smartcard
- pkcs11-tool -l -t: Runs without the error.
- updated to karmic
- !!! Regression: provider_library is wrong: should be /lib/libpcsclite.so.1
-- Changed it in /etc/opensc/opensc.conf
- pkcs11-tool -l -t: Runs with error!

To exclude the kernel as the possible cause, I've installed a kernel
package (2.6.31-14) from karmic on a jaunty system. The test runs
without error.
So: the kernel don't cause this problem.

HI There i Tried alexandira with karmic and run in two troubles
while searching for Author name Nouwen Alexandira crashes
having a look at the Alexandria project page gives me advice to update
to version 0.6.5 because of Amazone credential problems
so I downloaded this
this hapens althoug with alexandria pakage 0.6.5-0ubuntu1

Having a Display from IEI using Penmount 9000 Serial chip [1]
as I installed Karmic the touch functionality wont work even if i tried to
calibrate the display
by tool or giving known parameters from the installation before
Karmic has all the necessary packages in correct versions, maybe this
can be closed now?

I can confirm there are all entries with root UUID instead of uuid
UUID on Jaunty, but only with the first install of grub-pc. If you've
installed grub-pc before, you have to delete the files core.img and
grub.cfg from /boot/grub to check this out. If not, you will be
neither asked for
As the knights package is not included in Jaunty and Karmic any more, I
think this will probably best be closed invalid/wontfix now, the project
itself seems to be dormant and there are other applications that do
similar things, albeit no KDE-based ones as far as I see...

I also created Bug 459713 to update to the latest version of Jajuk which
is 1.8.2 currently.
