Okay, I got tired of dealing with this bug and waiting for a fix, so about a week ago, I upgraded to Seamonkey 1.1.14 using Ubuntuzilla. http://ubuntuzilla.wiki.sourceforge.net/ And I haven't received a single error message since then, and that's using the same profiles I created using Seamonkey

Ok, since I have no such trouble on Hardy/8.04.1LTS I can only think Bug is Interpid-related. You could try starting seamonkey from the command Line and then look at the output in case seamonkey crashes or put message again and eather post that log here or see for errors in log. Since I cannot

Hey Markor, Yeah, unfortunately I've been sorta stuck with 1.1.12, since I haven't found a definitive howto for upgrading Seamonkey. I just stumbled on the website for Ubuntuzilla, which seems like it promises an easy upgrade. http://ubuntuzilla.wiki.sourceforge.net/ But I'm still a little uncl

Don't scratch the bug. It's unlikely to be related to your hard drive. I've been getting the same messages on two different machines since I installed Ubuntu 8.10. -- Quirky Seamonkey Error Messages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/290857 You received this bug notification because you are a member

Just an update. This problem I was having a few weeks back was more than likely related to the fact that my hard drive was crapping out on me. Last week, my BIOS started giving me a warning to back up my data ASAP, as my primary hard drive was starting to throw up red flags that it was operating
