Okay, I got tired of dealing with this bug and waiting for a fix, so about a
week ago, I upgraded to Seamonkey 1.1.14 using Ubuntuzilla.

And I haven't received a single error message since then, and that's
using the same profiles I created using Seamonkey
Ok, since I have no such trouble on Hardy/8.04.1LTS I can only think Bug is
Interpid-related.
You could try starting seamonkey from the command Line and then look at the
output in case
seamonkey crashes or put message again and eather post that log here or see for
errors in log.

Yeah, unfortunately I've been sorta stuck with 1.1.12, since I haven't found a
definitive howto for upgrading Seamonkey.

and I am not experiencing this bug in everyday work.
I could test on 8.10 but ,again, I am not sure how to reproduce a bug.

Don't scratch the bug. It's unlikely to be related to your hard drive.
I've been getting the same messages on two different machines since I
installed Ubuntu 8.10.

Just an update.
This problem I was having a few weeks back was more than likely related
to the fact that my hard drive was crapping out on me.
Last week, my BIOS started giving me a warning to back up my data ASAP,
as my primary hard drive was starting to throw up red flags that it was
operating
