There is a new version, 0.8.4.1. Maybe that one fixes this problem. See http://goodies.xfce.org/projects/applications/xfce4-power-manager for the release. But checking the changes, it might not do that. 0.8.4.1 === - Because on some systems we might not have the brightness keys mapped. LCD
