You can easily change this locally by going to Tools - Configuration Files - filetype_extensions.conf and adding the text *.tpl; to the PHP-line. After saving this config-file, Geany should recognize the filetype correctly automatically. If you think this should be made permanent in Geany, please

Thanks it's fixed now..I just did what you suggested, but the changes doesn't applied right away, it took a lot of open/close activity before the changes were applied. Anyway, thanks and it works now. One more thing is, how could I create new file/folder from the sidebar? I don't see anyway to do
