One thing that occurs to me for those with limited memory is to go into the BIOS and reduce any memory reserved for the display to a minimum. The name will vary with the BIOS - the on I'm looking at calls it "onchip vga frame buffer size". Warning: Don't set it to "none". You lose the display! S

I haven't tried with only 256MB but 512MB works fine for me using CF. My memory usage currently shows as: Mem: 122M Active, 221M Inact, 74M Wired, 16M Cache, 54M Buf, 1000K Free with perl taking about 85MB and mysql about 32MB. I have seen perl go to nearly 100MB. It looks like I would be able

My Celeron 600 has 256mb ram and boots off a hard disk currently (board doesn't support boot off of usb and I don't have a spare cf and adapter to test with). I have about 70% ram used when system is up and running and SC is running. CPU peaks when I browse to the library from the controller, but
