Yep, but most of us don't need it and uninstalling it does not affect
my ubuntu system. It runs fine without it. Apparmor is yet another

I had "service" working on my 7.10 as well. sysvconfig is available in
the repos, just search in aptitude and install if you want.

working. I don't remember which version I was using, but I suspect it
