7.4.1 to 7.4.2 should be ok to "just upgrade" in my experience.

Is a problem you have to do a clean install.
If it crashes and the databse for artist albums and stuff looks totally
borked
I just did a "dpkg -i squeeze... " in debian to overwrite/upgrade an
existing installation - and it upgraded without any problems, keeping
all of the settings intact.
If it does go wrong you can always do an uninstall later with a --purge
or find and remove squeezecenter folders to do a clean ins
I'm new to this, but the guide says you "should" remove the old
Squeezebox Server before reinstalling.
My question - how exactly mandatory is this "should" - and can in
install without first running the "--purge" command?
Otherwise I'm guessing it will be complete reinstallation of plugins /

Don't see anything suspicious here. I assume that's the same folder you
installs SlimNAS to?
