My take would be that *something* has made root:root the owner of the root filesystem on the Cyclopes15 drive. The uid, gid, umask#8230; things in the mount option are used for new files (AFAIK), not for existing ones. So **with the drive mounted** I'd do sudo chown 1000:1004 /media/Cyclopes15 to
