Just for testing, unplug Sb3 and move it so that it can be connected to
an ethernet port and use headphone to listen.
It is possible Wifi card is failing, it can be replaced easily but first
you need to check tha

Thanks - I think I am going to make the installer wait for ntp to
synchronised before continuing the installation as it
well, right now it made a hiss and rebooted...
I guess there is something wrong with the unit, but it will be
impossible to diagnose the issue without giving a look to log files...
Is my SB3 dying?

I reconfigured the ntp settings on my server and tried to install SOA
again. This time it all went flawlessly, so yes we can blame my
not-working timeserver.

Hopefully it can be easily integrated as a new tweak with one of the
next releases so I can wake up my Windows Home Server when piCorePlayer
is starting...
This is a function I have used with my "old" Squeezebox touch as well -
and it is very helpful...
Many thank

Hi - I've looked at this again and wonder if the issue is related to
your configuration as ntp is started from the beginning of phase 2 and
it look
yes, that's right, but I haven't an ethernet socket anywhere near...
The SB has no open ports, so there is no way to access any internal
logfile.

To rule out the possibility that the wifi on the Classic is broken try
it through ethernet

hello All,
I have a SB classic that stops working after about one minute of
playing...
I rule out wifi access point problems because in the same room there is
a SB Radio that works fine for hours on wifi.
When I want to listen to my stereo system, I turn on the SB classic but
somehow it will on
... but now I am able to post it (++postcounter).
So, here is my solution to get it running ... maybe it's useful for
someone:
- Get the latest RPM from slimdevices:

- Install it:
Code:
rpm -i log
Hi to all,
reading the threads about running the LMS on openSUSE 13.1 here, I found
at least that I am not alone ...
