All of my pCps use Ratlink Wi-Pi dongles -

Ralphy,
I just loaded a clean pCP v3.20beta5 on my RPi with the 7" touch screen
and confirmed the unpatched squeezelite r945 runs with Jivelite
running, but does not run if I install the patched version and run
Jivelite. If I stop Jivelite, the patched squeezelite will run.

I d/ed mac-3.99-u4-b5-x86_64.tar.gz, and extracted what looks like an
executable file named mac. But now what???
Thanks!

There are 64 bit binaries here
https://sourceforge.net/projects/lmsclients/files/utility/

64-bit Ubuntu OS, Intel Core i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz × 8, one 120G SSD
(system files, most apps and /home), one 500G HDD.

I did the temporary fix:
/usr/local/bin/squeezelite -n Studeerkamer -o hw:CARD=BossDAC -a 80 4 1
-b 2 60 -r 384000 -R vLX
And, it is working.
Do I understand correctly that it is best to upsample
-44,1 khz + 88,2 khz + 176,4 khz files to 352,8 khz
-48 khz + 96 khz + 192 khz files to

I have had a ssh around the DS and in /etc/dhclient there is a file
dhclient.conf.example so i guess not an active dhclient.conf

Hi Ralphy,
The stuttering problem appears to be corrected. I do see more small
(10-20 msec) skip aheads and the occasional larger
That would be great if it could be incorporated into the build as pcp is
so easy to install and configure (excellent job BTW guys!)

Its a bit harder on pCP, as you will need a full set of compile tools.
I can make an extension for you later today.
Michael,
Is this a package we should install on pCP by default?

Thanks mherger (seeing as it was your solution!). I referenced this old
thread
http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?103014-Unicode-chars-not-displayed-on-the-Transporter-with-the-latest-LMS-7-9
and followed the instructions which were simply:
sudo perl -MCPAN -e 'install

As a temporary fix. Setup squeezelite to upsample everything to 192k
(or 384k if you are running the Audio Kernel) Put

OK thanks epoch, so I have successfully pinged several of my devices by
name both from windows and Linux (Although a couple of pings from
windows failed "could not find host" I think that is individual device
set ups). Ping to the NAS using the current server name of diskstation
works from both

Do you mean hosting LMS on a windows pc? If so I haven't done that.
But when I access LMS from a windows pc I can see the fonts render
correctly.

Ok so having a DNS server, I would check the DHCP-DNS link works. E.g.
add a computer to the network as a DHCP client, and check you can ping
it by name from a linux machine.
If this works fine, then I would suspect there is something like a
dhclient.conf file in the NAS, and this file specifies
Anyway on the SB3 (using PCP) Japanese and Chinese characters in my
music tags show up in pinyin form (ie romanised characters eg the
character æ shows up as "ming" instead of the character). From google
searches it would seem that I need to replace certain fonts in LMS but I
can't seem to
One slight aesthetic thing though Michael, wouldn't the "toasts" look
nicer centered on the album artwork rather than centered on the screen ?
This might indeed look nicer. But as the position isn't hard-coded, but
laid out based on the screen resolution, specific placements are harder
to do
To persist a reboot, add *ln -s /mnt/mmcblk0p2/tce/mac
/usr/local/bin/mac* to one of user commands lines on the tweaks webgui
page and save the config.
Ah... good reminder. I always forget about the possibility to add custom
commands.
