I doubt there's a generic problem playing static mp3 files: it's what
most podcasts and streaming services (Pandora, Deezer, Tidal,
Bandcamp...) do. So, rather than playing with custom-convert I'd suggest
you double check you theory by installing 7.7.6 on a computer, then

This issue is fixed going forward from 3.5.0. I found the problem when
testings early on, some past failure of the update left that file
remnant around.
Network discovery is absolutely crazy in Win 10. Sometimes it doesn't
show anything, then days later everything shows no problem!
Try this, right-click the windows logo bottom left of PC screen, select
"Run", type in "\\192.168.1.178" (without quotes, and replace with IP
address of your Pi).

I'm in the process of moving my LMS server from my HPMicroServer to a

1. I cannot get the correct USB mount point. On my USB drive I have a

I gave it a shot and here's what I find. If the pCP is still plugged in
to the network using the eth0, everything works. AP, playlist, auto
start... However, if you unplug the eth0 connection as you would to use
it in the car, the playlist is lost when the pCP starts back up.

Relative to the pCP in my car... When the ignition is turned off, the
power to the pCP is lost. Is there a way to have the player always start
playing after rebooting from a loss of power and have it play a Random

I suspected it was something wrong with the files - I've already managed
to fix one errant album by embedding different artwork. I'll work
through fixing the rest.

Once I'd remembered where the DAC settings where hidden it all worked

You should not reboot after you delete the file, it will get restored as
you found out. :)
If you feel inclined to do a reboot after you remove the file, you need
to do a [Backup] to save current files.
